Little Blue Truck Leads the Way

By Alice Schertle

The sequel to Little Blue Truck is just as charming as its predecessor. The big city sure is a speedy, noisy place for a country truck like Blue. Everyone is in such a hurry and no one is cooperating! Luckily, Blue comes to the rescue in this adventure about taking turns and working together.

It's a Little Book

By Lane Smith
This is the board book companion to the bestselling It's a Book! Adorable illustrations of a baby donkey and gorilla help to explain exactly what a book is for. Is it for chewing? Is it for calling? Is it for wearing? No...it's for reading. It's a book, silly!

A is for Apple

by Tiger Tales
We couldn't be happier with this book, and its companion, 1 2 3 Count with Me. Over the years, many parents have told us that most alphabet books are too busy (the letter itself gets lost) and that they don't really teach how to write the letter. We now have the perfect alphabet book! The letters (or numbers) on each page are large and clear, and helpful arrows help direct your fingers so you can figure out how to write a-z. Plus, it's a lift-the-flap book as well, with really cute illustrations.

Oh, David Pocket Library

by David Shannon

A David trilogy in one small package! These delightful little board books include: Oops! (wherein everything David encounters is followed with an "oops"), David Smells (wherein David explores his 5 senses, much to our amusement), and Oh, David (wherein David's mother must repeat this phrase often, but it ends with "Oh, David. I love you.). These stories are funny, mischievous, and touching at the same time.

Moo

by Matthew Van Fleet

We never get tired of Van Fleet's series of interactive books. In his newest, Moo, we are introduced to all sorts of farm animals and the names for the mamas, papas and babies for all those animals. We get to pet them, and push tabs that make them move and laugh at the great pictures. We're glad to see push tabs becoming more common, as the pull tabs are so easily ripped out by little hands.

Razzle-Dazzle Ruby

by Masha D'Yans

This is the story of Ruby's magical winter day. With flaps and pop ups galore, we get to help Ruby throw snowballs, ice skate, build snowmen and so much more! The creative interactive elements are great, as is the message of activity in winter. And Eric Carle recommends it, so it can't be bad, right?
